In recent years, France has started gaining popularity among Indian students as an international study destination. Great future aspect and post-study work permit are two important driving factors. 1. Study Costs in France

2. Scholarships:

3. France student visa: 

There are four types of France student visa. Depending on the duration of the course, a student can opt for the student visa. 

The student visa categories are listed here:

a. Short stay student visa

It is a visa which is meant for those students who want to stay and study in France for a maximum for 3 months. This visa is best suitable for students who want to enroll in a language course. This visa can be renewed but cannot be changed into a long stay visa.

b. Student-examination visa:

This type of visa allows students to give entrance examination in France to get admission in higher education. This visa is valid for a period of three months. The students who cleared their entrance examination and get enrolled in the college or university, the visa can be converted into a long-stay visa. 

c. Temporary long stay student visa

This type of visa is meant for those students who want to stay and study in France for a period of three to six months. Such a visa cannot be transformed into a long stay student visa.

d. Long stay student visa

This type of visa allows students to stay and study in France for more than 6 months. It is valid for the entire duration of degree. It is granted for 3 years for a bachelor’s degree, 2 years for a master’s program and 4 years for a doctoral degree. 

4. Eligibility criteria student visa:

To be eligible for a visa to study in France following conditions must be fulfilled:

a.    A valid passport
b.    The student must be enrolled in a valid academic program
c.    Official enrolment letter
d.    Acceptance letter
e.    Proof of your financial resources to pay expenses during your stay in France.
f.    Proof of medical insurance
g.    Student handwritten statement that states his intended departure date
h.    Proof of accommodation
i.    Proof of proficiency in French
